• Raise complex carbohydrate intake
• Reduce fat intake, replace saturated with polyunsaturated fat or monounsaturated fat
• Regulate your protein portion from 12% to 20% of total calories
• Include fiber in your diet for every meal as possible
• Do not overload in 1 meal, instead take 3 smaller meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus
2 small portions of snacks between meals to conquer craving or hunger
• Do not push yourself with “crash” diets. Rapid weight loss is putting more danger than benefit
to your condition.

It tones up the heart, muscles, bones, respiratory system, lowers blood pressure, helps in weight reduction, and relaxes the mind are just some of the benefits of exercise.
For the diabetics, it promotes movement of sugar from the blood stream into cells. Not all exercises are recommended for every diabetic person, thus it is important to consult your doctor for any plans of physical exercise.
For those who are over 50 years old, overweight and not so active type 2 diabetics, moderate exercises like swimming, biking, and brisk walking are all recommended. Incorporating any of these exercises everyday or every other day makes it more beneficial.
